In depth

Verdict

The step up in trip might help CHERRY BEE get her nose back in front. Mark Johnston's filly was unable to show the best of her abilities on her Beverley reappearance, but she will come on plenty for that first start in 11 months and can get back to winning ways. Jewelled Dagger has not won for three years, nor over this far, but he has thrown in numerous good runs and should be thereabouts. Pontefract winner Northside Prince may well be anchored by a rise of 6lb and course winner Cool Baranca will have to improve to win a race that looks set to go to Cherry Bee.
