      Verdict

      BELTANE has returned a beaten favourite on his last couple of outings when attempting to make all over 7f. Fading in the closing stages on both occasions, this shorter trip looks the logical move and he’s weighted to beat the others with a handicap mark. Of those, Monsieur Jumbo went close at Haydock last time and can reverse earlier running with Miss Calculation, who was due to run at Nottingham yesterday. Magnolia State has failed to build on a debut second in subsequent starts though is back on soft ground today.
