      Verdict

      THE NIFTY FOX hadn't scored since the autumn of 2009 before battling on well to oblige at Musselburgh ten days ago. Formerly a pretty useful sprinter, he had dropped to a dangerously appealing rating for that contest and is taken to follow up here off a rating of 71. However, a degree of punting caution is advised as he has yet to score over anything other than the minimum trip. Distant Sun, one of five course winners on show, looks threatening off the bottom rung with Julie Burke taking off a valuable 3lb, whilst Chookie Royale would have definite claims if able to recapture his useful and consistent form from last season.
