Verdict

The betting suggested The Jam Man was expected to leave his previous form behind at Catterick three days ago and he duly obliged. He’s penalised for that success and was well beaten here earlier along with BERTALUS. But the latter slips a further 5lb down the weights today and gets a speculative vote off his current mark. What A Dream won over track and trip in January and has been beaten over fences subsequently while Glenma was runner-up here when last in action over a year ago and Border Victor was placed here yesterday.
