Angelofthenorth appears to go on any ground, but her best form has been with a bit of cut and she can return to winning ways this afternoon, African Gift and My Rascal could provide most danger. James Bethell's filly was last successful in April when landing a five furlong handicap on good to soft ground off a mark of 70. Her last four outings have been on fast ground but she hasn't been disgraced, so off her current mark, and on today's surface she looks the best option. African Gift returns from a short break after landing two six furlong events during the summer. She may now be in the handicappers grip, but should still be vying for some place money. My Rascal beat subsequent winner Brave Bear at Thirsk last time and if she handles this differnet going she should be in the shake up. Best of the others could be David Barker's Brut, but Angelofthenorth looks the pick of the weights and gets our vote.
