In depth

Verdict

A twelve pound rise in the weights might not be quite enough to stop Dark' n Sharp from following up his impressive win at Aintree. Always travelling well that day he won with plenty in hand with Lord York never getting in a blow. Lord York reopposes today and will have his supporters on today's better terms but may once again have to settle for second best. Turgeonev has had a great season and was in contention when unseating rider last time and cannot be ruled out despite a long season, but Kadarann who is on the upgrade and has the assistance of Ruby Walsh looks interesting and could give Dark'N Sharp most to do.
