Verdict

Some real old rouges are drawn together here and many of them have solid claims on the pick of their efforts. However, Mr Fortywinks has hinted that he is about to strike in his latest outings and he is taken to get the better of Analogy and Exalted - with Simple Ideals another to consider for a place if supported. But Mr Fortywinks goes very well at this time of year and he may be too tough to pass if he is allowed a soft lead. Analogy rates as a live danger but he has not proved to be the most resolute of characters and is not one to go overboard about; despite his trainer's impeccable record with horses of this type.
