A tough apprentice handicap to finish the day's racing but the vote goes to NESNO ahead of Cold Quest and Stateside. Michael Dods has his string in cracking form and hopefully Nesno can land another win for him. The selection finished fourth in his latest start but travelled really nicely throughout the race. He didn't find much and also hung right under pressure which is a worry but this race won't take much winning and his front-running style will be suited to this flat track. Cold Quest was beaten by a horse that has since gone on to score again. That was a nice run but he has failed to put back-to-back efforts together before so that is a worry. He was bred to be a lot better but has been disappointing so far. His pedigree says he'll get this trip and it may bring out some further improvement. Stateside is a course-and-distance winner and although he hasn't been in great form of late he may be able to strike in a contest like this. A really tough race to finish.
