Verdict

Red Jade hasn't been with the new yard for long and better is expected soon however ten furlongs and a soft surface suits SHALOO DIAMOND who can carry top-weight to victory at the main expense of Battle Planner. Richard Whittaker has had a quiet spell but that was broken the other day and Shaloo Diamond has a strong chance today. His mark of 84 leaves little room for manouvering however he should be happier here than on quicker ground at Pontefract last time out. Best Prospect does all of his best work on the bridle but does handle the ground well and will pop up soon, as will Red Jade who is edging down the weights. Puzzlemaster's Nottingham win links a few of these including Rosbay who is looking well-treated now, as is Annibale Caro who is 7lb lower than his last flat run. Hollow Green has paid the price for a successful season, and a more interesting three-year-old may be Battle Planner. The former Mark Johnston inmate has his first start for Ian Semple today and things have not quite gone right since his debut win at Southwell. Soft ground may help and this 9000 guineas purchase is capable of better. Timocracy, Persian Peril and Chookie Hamilton all have the form to get compeittive as well. Soft ground looks key for Kingsdale Orion and Hollins so each remains capable of better today, however it is Shaloo Diamond who is preferred.
