In depth

Verdict

Tap Night is not short of ability but has become increasingly unreliable and hasn’t raced over fences since April of last year. HARLEYS MAX is probably the one to beat as he followed up a game win at Newcastle with a fair second over a trip too short at the same track last week and gets on well with 7lb claimer James Corbett. Asuncion sprung a surprise at Market Rasen last month but was then well beaten over 2m here in a lesser grade and is 8lb out of the handicap today. Danehills Well is proving difficult to place and Lowanbehold is probably also worth opposing, despite first-time cheekpieces.
