Verdict

XILERATOR comes from a successful family and this half-brother to Inxile and Tax Free is fancied to see off Alsufooh and Tipperary Boutique in a race lacking strength in depth. The selection cost 90,000 euros and is from a family that David Nicholls knows well. His half-brother Tax Free was a winner on his debut at Thirsk and so did Inxile so this fellow can continue the family trend with a bold show. Alsufooh is a nicely-bred filly who shaped with plenty of promise first time up at Catterick. That maiden is working out well for one held at the track and a bold bid is expected. Stablemate Honest Broker was further behind on that occasion but looks the type to improve for handicaps next season. Margarets John was not an expensive purchase but he comes from a decent French family and any market support would look interesting. The other to consider is Tipperary Boutique; this Barry Hills-trained filly ran in a top maiden back in August. Her trainer does very well with the runners he sends north (3 from 8 in last five seasons here), and a bold bid is expected in this weaker race. The market will help, but we are happy to side with newcomer Xilerator.
