In depth

Verdict

Ciankyle scored over hurdles and fences on this track last autumn but is now on his highest ever mark. CHAMPAGNE BEAUTY bounced back to form at Wexford, where he had The Echo Boy a short-head behind and Getaday back in fourth, but had earlier been beaten nine lengths behind the latter at Thurles. The winner looks progressive, however, and Hugh Morgan's claim gives him the edge over the runner-up on these terms. Recent Revelations has been disappointing but has only had four starts over fences so may be capable of better while the veteran All The Chimneys pops up every now and then. Optical Confusion is in excellent form and would have an obvious chance if getting a run.
