In depth

Verdict

ELSIE hasn't been done any real favours on her handicap debut with a mark of 119 but she looked very progressive at Punchestown and won a bumper on good ground so is taken to make a successful handicap debut. Fethard Player's only success came on heavy going but he ran very well on good ground at Tipperary last time and a 3lb rise shouldn't prevent another big run from his lowly spot in the weights. King High has to be a big threat as he finished runner-up off a 10lb higher mark over fences last time and has won five times over timber. Limpopo Tom has also been chasing and is reasonably treated back over hurdles, a remark that also applies to Nearest The Pin.
