In depth

Verdict

Cybele Eria has an obvious chance at the weights and the mare is taken to resume winning ways at the main expense of Allegedly Red and Private Jessica. The last mentioned ran well in similar company at Huntingdon last time and today's softer ground should not be of too much concern given that Richard Guest's filly is by Cadeaux Genereux. Berkeley Heights has lost her way on the flat in recent seasons but she may be the type to take to hurdles and cannot be discounted, while I Tina is capable in this grade and has form on a soft surface. The ground is of concern to Allegedly Red, who has shown all of her best form on a faster surface but being by Sabrehill there has to be a chance that she will go on it. There are no such worries for the selection though. Cybele Eria has winning form in the soft over hurdles and has run well under similarly testing conditions over fences, albeit two years ago. John Allen's mare takes a drop in class today and may prove to be too good for her rivals.
