In depth

Verdict

Carrietau, Sharp Dresser and Little Bob are three against the field in a competitive finale and the narrow vote is given to Carrietau. The selection won with plenty in hand last time out when beating Midnight Diamond and although rising in the weights he again has conditions to suit and he is taken to defy the handicapper. Sharp Dresser rates the main danger on his best form but he took a heavy fall last time out and it is hard to know if his confidence has been affected and at likely odds he is taken on with this in mind. Little Bob is another worthy of respect as he beat Summer Soul last time but this looks tougher and he looks vulnerable under his penalty. Realism will appreciate this flatter track than Towcester where he raced last time, while Jardin De Vienne has had plenty of chances and is becoming hard to win with and for the winner we return to Carrietau.
