In depth

Verdict

Mr Mafia and Steel Wave are firmly in the veteran stage and this is a competitive handicap for the time of year. Irish Prophecy is no mug but is hard to predict and Topofthecotswolds hasn’t been quite at his best so far this summer. SAINT ARVANS beat a subsequent winner at Ayr and then finished an honourable fifth in the Grade 3 Summer Plate at Market Rasen. Conor Rabbitt gets on well with Maurice Barnes’ gelding, who boasts a decent strike-rate over fences. Honey I'm Good is upped in class but on a roll and has only Lights Are Green below her in the handicap. Brief Times is a strong stayer but Grey Skies tries a new trip.
