Clemax, Eskimo Pie and Pams Oak form the shortlist and we chance Clemax in the third race on today's card. Ferdy Murphy's charge stays this trip well and as the stable attempted an unsuccessful gamble earlier in the week, there is every reason to believe that they are forward in their work. Eskimo Pie looked a useful novice hurdler in his day but the jury is very much out as far as chasing is concerned. The blinkers have been kept on today. Pams Oak is an adequate jumper but does not like to be taken on. This is a tougher assignment than those faced during the summer. Iron Man has a lot to prove over this trip and his previous tendency to pull hard will not help matters in the slightest. Vicario would appreciate more cut in the ground and is watched on reappearance. Hazeljack is a dour stayer in every sense of the word and market should advise after a six month absence. Borehill Joker is stepped up in trip after placed efforts over shorter. Plenty of chances here and Clemax is given the most tentative of nods.
