In depth

Verdict

Ballycash was chasing the eventual winner when coming down at the last at Wetherby and has claims here with a clear round. Suprise Vendor was on easy winner on heavy going at Ayr last time but hasn’t won in this grade over hurdles since 2012. Hartside remains in the handicapper’s grip while Nice Thoughts has proved disappointing so this can go to veteran DORMOUSE, who will enjoy conditions more than most and has been dropped 5lb since just failing to catch Annie Alain at Lingfield 10 days ago.
