Verdict

It will be interesting to see how Bantry Bere and Winter Star get on here having filled the first two places in a similar contest at Uttoxeter on Wednesday, with the latter now 7lbs better in at the weights. But their participation may be in doubt and it may be worth taking a chance with the handicap debutant JOHN FENTON. Liam Corcoran's gelding showed a decent level of form in point-to-points and has translated that ability in two starts in novice hurdles. He looks to be reasonably well treated racing off a mark of 111 for his debut in handicap and may be worth chancing in it. Prince Vector is capable but is probably a shade high in the weights at present, while Thunder Rock has similarly been struggling against the handicapper of late and may also be best watched.
