In depth

Verdict

Bible Lord can win this handicap chase for Andy Turnell, completing a hat-trick in the process, while The Luder, Forty Acers and Nice Try are among others with a chance. Bible Lord steps up in trip from 21 furlongs to this extended three miles and that can help to bring out further improvement from the gelding, who enjoyed two good wins on easy ground in the spring. This surface should not unduly inconvenience and with the yard in decent form of late, he is taken to complete the treble. The Luder is another who would prefer a drop more rain, but acts on good to soft and stays well. he is not open to as much improvement however. Vedelle won a chase at Down Royal last year and has his first run on a surface as fast as this. That may inconvenience, but he has not be over cooked so far and may still be improving. Forty Acers handles both fast and soft ground and also stays. He is not badly treated so is respected, while Nice Try will like the ground but has a definite stamina doubt. In summary then, Bible Lord is the one for us.
