Verdict

A big field due to post here and from a rather lengthy shortlist of All Roads Lead, Solway Star, Keoghs Tradbar and ARCTIC SHADOW, it is the last-named who is given our tentative support. The selection comes here chasing a hat-trick following wins at Uttoxeter and Market Rasen. Connections are deciding to strike whilst the iron is hot and take advantage of this significantly lower hurdles mark. He looks a changed horse for his new yard (as many have done) and a big run is expected with ideal conditions. Thehonourablelady ran well in defeat last time, as did Brize Norton who now steps up in distance. All Roads Lead is perhaps better judged on his Southwell win in April as opposed to his Newton Abbot failure last time, although his form has a patchy look to it, so of more interest may be Keoghs Tradbar. Paul Flynn's horse comes across from Ireland for a winnable race and is blinkered for the first time, but he has suffered two defeats here since his Uttoxeter win in June. Michaels Dream has been holding his form well without really threatening to win, Avoine represents a trainer in good form, whilst any market move for Miss Muscat would look significant as she returns from 681 days off the track. An open race, but we will slide with Arctic Shadow.
