    Verdict

Captain Courageous heads the weights on his first start since leaving Gavin Cromwell in Ireland, for whom he ran respectably over timber without getting his head in front. He's interesting but has a 277-day absence to overcome, so check the market for any positive signals. Zip Pearl looks the sort to do better handicapping but the same applies to DANGER MONEY. The McCain charge was rather disappointing before shaping much better in a Market Rasen handicap this month and looks progressive now. He appeals as well treated, Brian Hughes is booked and a repeat of that latest improvement would surely see him go close.
