      Verdict

TASHEBA had endured some pretty lean times since landing a Listed event over hurdles in 2009 but finally managed to prevail in a beginners chase at Cartmel last week and he should be good enough to defy the penalty. Weapon Of War is onto his third trainer having raced previously for Victor Dartnall and Gary Moore. He should not want for fitness on his chasing debut having already had two runs over hurdles at Worcester. Jack's Grey is a previous winner at Southwell and is respected despite some fairly ordinary displays in the interim while Billy Blade would be of some significance from a handicapping perspective. Evan Williams' five-year-old won a selling hurdle off an official rating of 59 at Newton Abbot in June before defying the handicapper again off a 21lb higher mark. He will be asked to shoulder an additional 14lb on his chasing debut.
