In depth

Verdict

This looks an interesting contest with several unexposed types taking on experienced handicappers. Gold Futures is in the former category but the assessor has taken no chances with Nicky Richards' novice. Bandit Country has been a bit hit and miss and is now tried in blinkers while Guiding George has now been a beaten favourite three times in a row and has been raised 5lb since his latest second at Worcester. Valleyofmilan beat MR MOSS a length-and-a-half at Worcester but that was a welcome return to form for Evan Williams' 10-year-old, who could reverse those placings here on 3lb better terms and end a long losing run. King's Legacy, Strumble Head, Highway Code and Midnight Appeal could all figure on their best form.
