Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

Not much to enthuse about in this and top weight Cathcart Castle must have some sort of chance in a first-time visor. Another visored runner, Chester Deelyte, won in this grade at Leicester two runs ago while Dreams Of Glory landed an all-weather handicap in April and is a pound lower than when third over C&D on his latest outing. There's just a chance that one or two of the lightly-raced handicap debutants have a bit more scope, however, so we're taking a chance on HERTFORD STREET. Peter Makin's gelding takes a drop in grade and distance and ran a lot better than his finishing position suggests at Salisbury last month - he may have been let in lightly here.
