The selection in the nursery is Maker's Mark, with his biggest dangers rated as Cuppacocoa and Vaunt. Maker's Mark won decisively over six furlongs here last time, in the manner of an improving horse. The minimum trip should present him with no problems and he looks a leading player today. Makshoof also drops in trip following a heavy-ground six furlong success at Haydock and it will be interesting to see how he copes today. Mambo Spirit benefited from a good draw to score at Chester last time but he has a new mark to defy now, while Another True Story might just be found out conceding weight all round. A dual course and distance winner, Cuppacocoa was not disgraced in a valuable sales race at Newmarket last time on slower going. He will be much more at home here and can go well. Vaunt is also a course-and-distance winner and he seemed to appreciate the minimum trip last time and, if finally having got himself together, he can be given a shout. Finally, Dowlleh remains consistent and is not without a chance but, overall, the vote stays with Maker's Mark.
