In depth

Verdict

CHESIL BEACH is having her first start since October but still has leading claims. Andrew Balding's progressive filly ended last season with four straight wins and the latest 6lb rise for winning at Musselburgh is mostly negated by an apprentice's allowance. Elysian Fields also has strong claims stepping up in trip after landing a double over 1m4f here while Shining Glitter and Rowlestone Lass both went close on the all-weather on their latest starts and look better handicapped than Cosette.
