Verdict

KEENES DAY is faced with an easier opportunity of late and can make the most of it although Raslan, Callisto Moon and one or two others are of interest. The selection was made favourite to win the Ascot Stakes and travelled well up to a point before finding the ground too soft in the Northumberland Plate. He has posted solid efforts on two subsequent outings and is fancied to enhance his trainer's good course record. Raslan hasn't run on the Flat since 2007 but won easily over hurdles last month and has claims from this mark as does Enjoy The Moment who has been absent for some time. Callisto Moon has been in really good form since returning to the level after a spell over hurdles and he may not be done with yet whilst Pseudonym has been running well but is a long way out of the weights. Woolfall Treasure is just a pound higher than when winning at Salisbury in May and has the ability to win this but there's a suspicion that his attitude is slightly suspect and he may need a more positive ride than he received at Goodwood. Confidence behind Raslan and Enjoy The Moment would make this a more competitive race than might otherwise be the case but Keenes Day can prove good enough either way.
