Solesmes won a quite valuable seller at Goodwood last Sunday but probably didn’t have much to beat and a few of these have more scope. Swift And Sure, second on debut at Goodwood, is one and she goes on the short-list. Windsor fourth Shining is a likely improver and Strict Tempo is a sister to winning miler Dance Of Fire and from a family well known to connections. Richard Hannon runs two and Mersey will be hoping to make it third-time lucky after placing at Salisbury and Kempton. She has the plum draw but HAPPY HARMONY, out of a dam that has already produced four winning sprinters, will have learned plenty from her run in a Class 2 contest at Musselburgh and can improve past her stable companion.
