In depth

Verdict

Duration won over 2m on the all-weather in August while Fitzwilly scored over 2m at Kempton on his penultimate start but both have been beaten since. Bird For Life has also placed at Kempton on a couple of occasions while Divin Bere had nine starts on the Flat in France without success before switching to Paul Ncholls and scoring twice over hurdles. He’s had wind surgery since last seen and is rated higher over timber than both Three Star General and Final Choice though the latter won over 2m at Chelmsford recently. Phoenician Star may improve for today’s extra distance but the speculative vote goes to the lightly-raced LUCKY LOVER BOY on the back of an improved effort over 1m6f at Salisbury.
