Verdict

FANTASY FRY has shown clear progression in three starts so Hughie Morrison's charge gets the nod in a maiden that shouldn't take much winning with benchmark Diamond Vine looking average while Rigolleto wouldn't have to be anything special to win on debut. From a sire that has produced plenty of success stories the selection followed a solid debut with a much improved run before finding just one too good when switched to this track last time out. He was staying on well that day so the step back up in trip should help him go one better. Diamond Vine has hinted at some ability and has had his two best runs at this track but will need to show more. Rigolleto is related to a few useful sprinters so should go well on debut and Thomas Tompion also has plenty of winning relations and from a shrewd yard is respected though he might need more cut in the ground. An intriguing opener where Fantasy Fry can continue heading in the right direction.
