    Verdict

    Goldslinger was well beaten in his hat-trick bid at Newmarket, though that was a better race than this. Illya Kuryakin was found wanting at Chelmsford after scoring at Southwell but there should be more to come from Fast Pick and Aumerle now they go handicapping. The penny may be dropping with the well-bred CAPE ROSIE, who was noted staying on strongly over 1m2f at Lingfield last time. She won't get a better chance to break her duck and increase her paddock value. Tepeleni has been quite highly tried but has looked nothing special.
