Verdict

Ocean Myth finished a respectable sixth on his debut at Bath and will improve but could have been drawn better, while Red Shadow will find life easier back at this level after being well beaten at York last time. Zaffy will have benefited for her debut at Thirsk, but the vote goes to OUR BOY JACK. Well fancied for his debut in the Brocklesby at Doncaster in April, he showed good early pace until fading quickly in the closing stages. Back from a three-month break today, Richard Fahey's colt should have strengthened up and a much better showing is expected. Precious Little and True Bond can prove best of the newcomers.
