Verdict

LAFTAH cost 200,000gns and came in for support on her debut at Haydock last month. However, she hardly saw daylight throughout the race and can be rated unlucky. She'll be a short price here and should have few problems though the ground conditions slightly temper enthusiasm. Zainda has now had 15 starts, including over 2m, while his stablemate Mu'ajiza has gone backwards. Dual Mac has had very little racing for his age but has shown a bit of potential, though Protected looks more of a threat. He showed little on his racecourse debut for Richard Hannon last year but had obviously benefited from the experience as he started favourite on his reappearance at Musselburgh where he looked as though this sort of ground would suit him better.
