LOVE DELTA could be hard to beat if he's come on for his debut although Tominator has, arguably, achieved more and Dahes may prove capable of better whilst there are also a couple of newcomers that make a good bit of appeal on paper. Gritstone is the second foal of a useful performer and he has been entered in a number of the valuable sales races, I'lldoit is not without some appeal, Muwalla's stable has a good hand in this division while Robens Rock and Gadabout Dancer are related to winners so there are a number to bear in mind. Dahes finished last at Hamilton but was beaten less than seven lengths over a trip that was probably short enough; the form hasn't worked out all that well but it reads well enough in the context of this race and he should make his presence felt. Tominator finished in midfield in a Haydock maiden on testing ground before chasing home a fair type on better ground at Chester, reversing Haydock form with one of Mark Johnston's in the process. He's well thought of and should be better served by the demands of this track. The selection made a pleasing debut in soft ground on Stewards' Cup day at Goodwood when second best of the newcomers. He came under pressure fairly early on that occasion but it didn't appear to be too bad a race on paper and he's sure to benefit from the experience. He's well drawn if he can hold a more prominent position on this occasion which may see Love Delta open his account.
