In depth

Verdict

Argentine showed promise last time and can confirm that here, with Billy Ruffian, Ishibee and Dickie Le Davoir others to consider. The selection looked a certain improver when running green in third place over c&d last month, and with Mark Johnston's yard going well, he looks set to step up on that and score. Billy Ruffian gets just about the worst of the draw here but comes from a yard in red hot nick at present, and he is also bred to go well as a juvenile so a good run looks on the cards. Ishibee has come out better in the draw and will have learned plenty on her Redcar debut, while Dickie Le Davoir's pedigree suggests he could go well, but Argentine looks the one to be on here.
