Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

A poor turnout for this decent prize and Dark Charm is selected ahead of Zaif and Torrens. Richard Fahey's eight-year-old showed he was no back number when chasing home King Of The Moors at Redcar last time out. With ground and trip in his favour again a big run is expected. Top-weight Zaif is a rare Beverley runner for David Elsworth. The stable is in good form and this one could be spot on following two modest runs this season. Torrens has just run out of steam in the closing stages of his last two races and may want to drop a furlong or so. However in this company he should still be in the shake up. Sir Arthur is not badly treated on the pick of his form and he may do best of the others, but our idea of the winner is Dark Charm.
