    Verdict

Emma's Venture has the best of the draw and gets the vote over stablemate Fold Walk and Why Harry. Mick Easterby in fact has three runners here, with Miller Hill also representing the Sheriff Hutton trainer. However, George Duffield, back to the fray after his minor injury recently, is digging deep in search of the sixty-odd winners he needs this season to emulate Edward Hide's career total, and in Emma's Venture he may have the ammunition to take a step closer. The filly was a beaten favourite at Newcastle but the ground was very soft, and the daughter of Paris House may prove to be a different proposition under the prevailing conditions at Beverley. Paul Mulrennan, who normally rides her, switches to Miller Hill who has a bad draw, and bigger claims are held by the stable's other entry Fold Walk, drawn eight and the mount of Graham Gibbons. Why Harry is already a course and distance winner and has the assistance of Kevin Darley, so will be a major player, but we are prepared to go against him with Emma's Venture in search of a bit of value
