Half-a-dozen of these have won over the course and distance including Burtonwood, a disappointing favourite at Carlisle after an earlier victory here. He's badly drawn while the veteran Bronze Beau is also towards the outside and he ran poorly at Ayr last time. Maureb, a winner over 7f at Carlisle last month, has never raced over the minimum trip in 19 starts while Oriental Splendour has been in excellent form but was receiving 6lb when beaten by ETERNITYS GATE at Pontefract and is 3lb worse off. Groundworker was under two lengths behind Oriental Splendour at Pontefract last month and is 5lb better off so should go close.
