Tarkamara seems to have done everything but win in recent times and can come good here at the main expense of Royal Composer and Pango's Legacy. The Paul Cole-trained selection has finished bridesmaid on three successive occasions, all at 6f, and drops back to the minimum trip here for the first time since a decent run in the Queen Mary last season. Although campaigned at that longer trip, she often leads at the furlong pole and she should possess enough speed to finally break her duck here. Royal Composer has to give away weight-for-age to the selection and is disadvantaged if official ratings are to be believed. Tim Easterby could not be in much better form though and with first time blinkers applied the gelding won't be too far away. Pango's Legacy comes out second best of official figures and he did not run badly on his only previous try over the minimum trip at Nottingham last year. The drop back is worth a try and he can go well. Takamul looks best of the rest but Tarkamara gets the vote.
