      Verdict

There’s no recent winning form to consider though KATEBIRD won over today’s distance on the all-weather last season and was placed in much better company at Ripon last week - Mark Johnston’s filly may prove good enough at this level. Conistone was a well-beaten third over a longer trip here last time but finished ahead of the selection and Starlite Sienna when fourth over track and trip before that while Clean Cut has finished a bit closer recently. Doctor Dynamite goes handicapping for the first time on his reappearance, along with Trautmann, and both are worth a second glance.
