In depth

Verdict

GOLDEN HINDE ran in a particularly hot Goodwood maiden and at this slightly lesser level, the colt, who realised 95000 guineas as a yearling, he really ought to be able to find some compensation. Godolphin's juveniles are in a purple patch at present so Dortmund has to be respected. The Dubawi colt probably did not appreciate the gluepot conditions at Newmarket and might be worth another chance on better ground. Sir Byron makes his debut for the Richard Fahey team and will run here in preference to entries at Newcastle and Epsom. Benidorm has already had the unkindest cut of all but is related to winners over similar trips overseas.
