Manchestermaverick held on well when landing a claimer here over seven furlongs last month but this is tougher and he may be booked for a place at best behind PRINCE VALENTINE, who gets the vote over Goodbye Cash. The five-year-old should appreciate the faster ground today having been well held on soft ground at Ayr last time following on from his success at Folkestone previously. The 6lb penalty for that Folkestone success makes this more difficult though and the David Evans-trained mare may have to settle for minor honours. Peter Makin's Solo River has been running consistently well over 1m2f of late and may not appreciate the drop in trip to a mile, while Jim Best's Hypnotic has been well held in three starts since winning over course and distance in June. The vote then goes to Gary Moore's Prince Valentine, who ran better here last time and, with the yard's runners now coming onto some form, he looks worth siding with.
