In depth

Verdict

Adjawar looks worth a bet in the most valuable race on the card and is taken to go one better than at Epsom last time at the main expense of Oldenway and Stunning Force. Hugh Morrison has his string in fine fettle at present and, having found only April Stock too good in the Great Metropolitan last time, Adjawar has solid claims off just a 3lb higher mark on a similar track. Richard Fahey's Nottingham winner Oldenway lost no caste in defeat behind Kid 'Z' Play at Hamilton last month but also has a 3lb rise to overcome and is less certain to handle the undulations of Brighton. Mark Johnston's horses have really hit top form of late and it would be no surprise if there was further improvement to come from his Catterick winner stunning Force but this is a tougher contest and off a 5lb higher mark the Topweight has more to do. Gary Moore's runners here always warrant respect so Reveillez has to be considered, while a market move for Reveillez would be of interest.
