Verdict

This looks nailed on for Alizadora, with Drawnfromthepast and newcomer Victorian Bounty the ones to chase her home. It is not often that Sir Mark Prescott saddles a winning juvenile first time, so we can assume that Alizadora is useful, although the form of her Nottingham success is nothing special. Jockey Seb Sanders made the right choice in staying on the stands side that day as she kept on well to score, and she now gets the chance to back the form up herself. It is interesting that she was pencilled in for a Group 3 race in Ireland on Monday, so with that in mind she should be more than capable of following up in this lesser contest. Drawnfromthepast stayed on well behind Mick Channon's Yem Kinn in a decent maiden at Ascot, and will surely open his account before too long. He will appreciate this slightly longer trip, and can give the selection most to do. Eoghan O'Neill always has some speedy two-year-olds, so Victorian Bounty should be watched in the market on his debut, but the experience of Alizadora should enable her to defy a penalty in the opener.
