Verdict

Although only a small field in the opener this is competitive with Desert Flair, Violet Ballerina and Miss Wedge all in with a shout but the vote goes to the last named. Miss Wedge didn¿t get the best of runs on her debut at Haydock but still ran a blinder and had every chance a furlong from home but was unable to quicken. With that valuable experience under her belt she should improve and is taken to win the opener. Desert Flair comes from the inform Hannon yard and again ran well in defeat at Bath when third of eleven on her debut. Violet Ballerina is another that will show improvement from her debut and this looks a slightly easier task but she again will find one too good. So for the winner we return to Miss Wedge.
