    Verdict

POUND PIECE looks up to landing the opener. He was beaten less than a length at Lingfield last week despite having to be switched in the closing stages and Stan Moore's charge should be opening his account in this company. Zafraaj is expected to improve on his modest debut effort at Bath but the remainder with experience are hard to fancy and a newcomer may fare better. Dawnfromthepast is a brother to three winners including the similarly-named multiple winning sprinter Drawnfromthepast and makes more appeal than Goadby.
