      Verdict

This is tougher than the race The Lacemaker won at Lingfield and Bernardo O'Reilly is preferred on last week’s success at the same track. Mamillius won over 7f here recently and has now recorded all three wins so far over the latter trip but Ascot Day has only won on the all-weather to date and went close again at Kempton in March. TIGERWOLF has won twice on the all-weather this year but was beaten only a neck over course and distance last time and Mark Loughnane’s charge may just edge a tight contest.
