Verdict

Pendo was conceding 7lb to Lord Clenaghcastle when beaten two lengths in this last year so is 13lb better off. Pour La Victoire only beat one home 12 months ago but bids for a sixth course victory and Buzz Lightyere has win three times on this undulating track. The three-year-old Optimum Time came good last month at Windsor and Chepstow runner-up Andalusite also looks nicely treated but Zlatan is getting no help from the handicapper as he strives to end a frustrating sequence. ENIGMATIC appears to be thriving since switched to Turf and there is scope for further improvement. He was just beaten off this mark at Yarmouth last time and should go close if handling the undulations
