Turnberry has finished second off the same mark as today in his last two starts but they have been in weaker contests than this and the John Hills-trained colt is expected to go one better here with the biggest dangers likely to be the handicap newcomers Blaise Wood and Albadi. The last mentioned has been well beaten in all four starts so far and would not appear to be particularly well treated, even off a mark of 49. A bigger threat then may come from Blaise Wood, who at least has shown signs of ability and hails from a stable in form. Paul d'Arcy's Get To The Point has given little sign of encouragement of late, while John Dunlop's Growler was beaten a long way on his reappearance and is difficult to recommend. Ed Dunlop's Ablaj ran better at Thirsk earlier this month and has to be respected as he is less exposed than some of his rivals but Turnberry will be tough to beat. The John Hills-trained colt has done little wrong of late in better company than this and can take advantage of the drop in class.
